Navigation Refresher Webinars – brush off the cobwebs!

Our navigation skills have got rustier than normal in recent months and our webinars are a chance to brush off the cobwebs and make the most of being back out on the water. There is no question that can’t be asked in these sessions. Limited to ten places per webinar, we will ask you in advance what you are most interested in covering, whether it is something new or revisiting the basics. Each session will be tailored around the group that attends, and will be led by our Chief Instructor, Dhara Thompson. Lasting 90 minutes, there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and the opportunity to work through some navigation scenarios.

Subjects we might cover include working out tidal heights for entry into shallow harbours, how to plan a course to steer, use of waypoints on visible objects to help plot your position on a paper chart quickly, use of clearing lines and transits, pilotage, rules of the road and collision avoidance.

You will need access to Zoom to attend the webinars. A link will be sent out to you in advance of each session.

We will be adding more dates as needed, so keep coming back to look.
