Three Day Solent Trip / Sailing Skills Refresher
13th May - 15th May£340
On this three day trip we will explore the Solent, giving you the opportunity to sharpen up any rusty Competent Crew or Day Skipper techniques or just to enjoy a few days sailing. Pair this with one of our Sailing Skill Builder Weekends to experience our new option for advancing you between RYA levels. No prior experience necessary.
The waters of the Solent are sheltered from the prevailing winds by the Isle of Wight and offer many interesting places to explore. The unique tidal streams and variety of different vessels also make it a great area for learning.
- No extra charge for sailing waterproofs and boots on courses & trips.
- Good food! All meals and snacks included – vegetarian and vegan food by default as part of our commitment to lowering our company’s carbon footprint. You are of course welcome to eat what you like ashore, but rest assured we keep our boats well stocked with plenty of tasty and healthy food to satisfy everyone onboard.
- Onboard libraries of learning resources
Sail Boat Project is a Workers’ Co-operative (registered as a Community Interest Company) established in 2009, providing a range of learning activities based around sailing. We aim to widen access to the sea, offering sail training to individuals and community groups. We are also involved in sail transport of cargo.
All bookings support our Community Sailing Fund, widening access to the sea for a range of community groups. Through the Fund we offer sailing activities at subsidised rates to increase confidence and learn new skills.
