South Coast 5 Day Sailing Trip
July 29 - August 2Free
Our longer five day sailing trips allow us to venture further afield, leaving the Solent for the Jurassic coast of Dorset. Calm weather anchorages await in Lulworth Cove and Chapmans Pool en route to Weymouth. If you are looking to build miles and experience watch systems, a blast across Lyme Bay and back is all possible within one of our five day sailing trips. Please feel free to talk with us before you book and we can match people with similar interests.
This cruising area has plenty of navigational challenge for those wanting to build on their pilotage skills. We aim to involve everyone in the plans made on each trip so that everyone can get the most out of their time onboard. Whether it is simply time at sea or honing your wind awareness, visiting beautiful anchorages or being the one who guides us in, there is something for everyone.
Takes place onboard our yacht Jalapeno.
- No extra charge for sailing waterproofs and boots on courses & trips.
- Good food! All meals and snacks included – vegetarian and vegan food by default as part of our commitment to lowering our company’s carbon footprint. You are of course welcome to eat what you like ashore, but rest assured we keep our boats well stocked with plenty of tasty and healthy food to satisfy everyone onboard.
- Onboard libraries of learning resources
Sail Boat Project is a Workers’ Co-operative (registered as a Community Interest Company) established in 2009, providing a range of learning activities based around sailing. We aim to widen access to the sea, offering sail training to individuals and community groups. We are also involved in sail transport of cargo.
All bookings support our Community Sailing Fund, widening access to the sea for a range of community groups. Through the Fund we offer sailing activities at subsidised rates to increase confidence and learn new skills.
