Starts and ends Chichester Harbour

As skipper I will adapt the itinerary to suit the wind conditions, in discussion with you, the crew. Starting out from the beautiful and sheltered Chichester Harbour, we’re likely to visit a number of anchorages and marinas in the Solent, including Cowes, Gosport/Portsmouth and other places on the Island. If conditions allow we may make a passage to Poole, anchor in the beautiful Lulworth Cove or even go as far as the pretty fishing town of Weymouth. A picturesque passage up the needles channel and round the south side of the Isle of Wight is another possibility. If you’d like to, there will be opportunities to practise your boat handling and seamanship skills, picking up buoys, practising short turns and ropework, for example. Crew members will also be given the opportunity to join in the running of the ship, including passage planning, cooking, pilotage and helming. Overall we’ll be aiming at a mixture of short and longer passages and having a relaxing and fun time. No previous experience required.
